Finance Minister informs Kuzhalnadan about Veena Vijayan’s company’s tax payments in 13 words or less.

The Kerala Government has stated that Exalogic, the company owned by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s daughter, has paid all the taxes required by law in its dealings with CMRL, a black sand mining company. The state finance minister’s office issued this clarification to Congress MLA Mathew Kuzhalnadan, but did not disclose the specific amount or date of the tax payment. As a result, another MLA, representing Muvattupuzha, has demanded the release of Exalogic’s tax records to verify the claims.

The allegation of non-payment of GST by Exalogic was made by Kuzhalnadan, who sent a letter to the finance minister on August 19. The finance minister forwarded the letter to the tax department for investigation, which resulted in a report from the GST Commissioner confirming that the tax had been paid. The report gathered information from the Karnataka GST department. However, the nature of the services provided by Exalogic to CMRL still remains unknown.

In conclusion, the Kerala Government has affirmed that Exalogic has fulfilled its tax obligations according to the law in its dealings with CMRL. The specific details of the tax payment have not been disclosed, leading to demands for transparency from another MLA. While the allegation of non-payment of GST was disproven by a report from the GST Commissioner, the exact services provided by Exalogic to CMRL remain unanswered.
