Apple Intelligence Now Available in Public Beta

Apple has announced the release of public betas for iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1. These updates introduce new Apple Intelligence features, including text rewriting tools, a redesigned Siri interface, a “Clean Up” tool for photo editing, and additional functionalities.

Access to these beta versions requires registration on Apple’s beta software program site. Once registered, users can download and install the beta updates through the settings menu. Apple Intelligence features will be accessible on select iPhones, specifically the iPhone 15 Pro models and the upcoming iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro. Additionally, iPads and Macs equipped with M1 chips or newer can utilize these features.

These Apple Intelligence functionalities were previously limited to developer betas. A colleague, Allison Johnson, previously documented her experience testing these tools on iOS in July. It is important to note that the current betas do not encompass all of the Apple Intelligence capabilities announced by Apple; further updates are expected to be released in the future.

The final versions of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 are scheduled for release in October.
