New Windows App Released for ChatGPT

Similar to its Mac counterpart, the ChatGPT application for Windows allows users to interact with the AI-powered chatbot within a dedicated window, which can be maintained open alongside other applications. Users can access the app quickly through the Alt + Space shortcut.

The application also provides the capability for users to upload files and photos to ChatGPT, and offers a preview of OpenAI’s o1 model, which is designed for enhanced reasoning capabilities. However, the app currently lacks some features, such as an advanced voice mode.

At present, the app is available exclusively to subscribers of ChatGPT Plus, Enterprise, Team, and Edu. OpenAI has announced intentions to make it accessible to all users later in the year.
