Enthusiasts of the Dark Knight Batman film series featuring Christian Bale have an opportunity to acquire director Christopher Nolan’s well-known version of the Batmobile. However, purchasing one of the 10 replicas available requires a substantial financial investment, reminiscent of Bruce Wayne’s wealth.
The Tumbler, as it is known in the films, is being offered as the first officially sanctioned replica at a price of $2.99 million. Despite this cost, the vehicle is not permitted for street use, which means it cannot be utilized for everyday errands or school pickups.
Each of the 10 replicas will be customized to suit the owner’s specifications and will include a certificate of authentication from Warner Bros. Discovery. Those interested in purchasing and possessing an intense passion for Batman can order from BruceWayneX.com.
Action Vehicle Engineering is the manufacturer behind these vehicles. Although they are not intended for highway use, operating one could potentially lead to violations of local ordinances. Features of the Batmobile include a Powertrain 6.2L LS3 525 HP Engine with 486 FT lbs of Torque and a smoke screen delivery system. Constructed from Kevlar, carbon fiber, sheet metal, and fiberglass, it weighs a relatively light 5,511 pounds, which is still lighter than a Cybertruck.
Additional features include air conditioning to combat the heat generated by the Batsuit and a GPS for navigation. Safety is enhanced with a five-point racing car seat harness.
A drawback to note is that the jet engine simulation at the back of the vehicle does not emit real flames. The Batmobiles are expected to be delivered to customers approximately 15 months after placing a deposit.
