Condor Airlines and Alaska Airlines have entered into a bilateral codeshare agreement, enhancing their collaboration and simplifying the booking process for passengers. With this agreement, Condor can now sell over 70 Alaska Airlines routes that crisscross the United States. In return, Alaska Airlines can seamlessly connect passengers to over 100 European destinations through Condor’s Frankfurt hub. The partnership also allows passengers to earn and redeem miles for Condor flights through the Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan.
This codeshare agreement marks an expansion of the existing interline agreement between the two airlines, offering enhanced connectivity, ticketing, and baggage handling services. Passengers can now book their entire journey on Condor’s codes, making it easier to travel between various US cities and European destinations. Mikko Turtiainen, Condor’s Director of Sales for the Americas, expressed excitement about the new possibilities offered by the partnership.
Additionally, Condor will introduce seasonal nonstop flights from San Antonio, Texas, to Frankfurt, starting in May next year. This development is expected to have a significant economic impact on the region, with an estimated annual impact of around $34 million. Condor also plans to launch nonstop flights from Frankfurt to Miami International Airport. The expansion of routes and frequency of flights in North America demonstrates Condor’s commitment to providing better travel options for American passengers, using their growing fleet of A330neos.
Overall, this partnership between Condor Airlines and Alaska Airlines aims to improve travel options and convenience for passengers, connecting major US cities with European destinations and vice versa.
