Hiscox, the international specialist insurer, has announced Mary Boyd as the next CEO of Hiscox USA. Boyd will be taking over from Kevin Kerridge, who will be leaving at the end of September. The transition is set to occur on June 24, with Kerridge staying on in an advisory capacity before exploring other opportunities.
Boyd brings over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, having previously served as the CEO of Plymouth Rock Assurance. She has a strong background in leading businesses through significant transformations and has held leadership positions at companies such as The Hartford, ACE, Explorer Insurance, and Chubb. Boyd expressed her excitement about leading the Hiscox team and driving innovation and profitable growth in the US market under a clear strategic vision communicated by Aki Hussain, the Group Chief Executive of Hiscox.
Aki Hussain acknowledged Boyd’s exceptional knowledge and expertise in the industry and expressed confidence in her ability to scale the US business successfully. As Boyd prepares to take on her new role, Kevin Kerridge, her predecessor, will be bidding farewell to Hiscox after nearly three decades with the company. Hussain praised Kerridge for his role in building Hiscox’s digital offering over the years and wished him well in his future endeavors.
