Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) reported Q2 2024 group sales of 84,662 Passenger Cars, along with 10,934 unit sales from Mercedes-Benz Vans, totaling 95,596 vehicles for the quarter. The increase in sales is attributed to the stronger availability of models which led to a 27% rise in Q2 passenger car group sales compared to Q1. The momentum is expected to continue with the launch of new models like the GLC 350e and AMG SL 63e S in Q3, along with an all-electric variant of the G-Class in the fall.
In terms of vehicle segments, top-end vehicles saw a 5% increase, core segment sales rose by 12%, and entry segment sales reached 13,654 units in Q2 2024. Demand for models like the GLS, GLC, and GLE have shown positive growth, highlighting customer preferences in different segments. In addition, group sales for Vans totaled 10,934 units, with the eSprinter, the first fully electric van from Mercedes-Benz USA, contributing to overall sales.
