Pepperdine students killed on PCH radiated ‘light and joy’ at school

Four Pepperdine University students tragically lost their lives after being struck by a vehicle on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California. The victims, Asha Weir, Niamh Rolston, Peyton Stewart, and Deslyn Williams, were remembered for their hard work and positivity. They were all seniors and members of the Alpha Phi sorority. Asha Weir, Rolston, and Stewart were also roommates. The parents of the victims expressed their grief and shared how their daughters had bright futures ahead of them.

Asha Weir, originally from Ireland, had a loving family and was studying English at Pepperdine University. She was described as having a kind heart and a beautiful soul, always caring for others. Peyton Stewart, a business major, was known for her ambitious nature and love for traveling and good food. She had accomplished many feats on her own, including internships and studying abroad in London. Both families emphasized their deep love for their daughters and how much they will be missed.

The driver responsible for the accident, Fraser Michael Bohm of Malibu, was arrested and charged with vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence. The president and CEO of Pepperdine University, Jim Gash, expressed deep sorrow over the loss of the four young women, stating that they brought joy and light to the campus. The incident remains under investigation, and the families hope for justice to be served.
