Dollarama, a Canadian discount store operator, has announced the appointment of Patrick Bui as its new chief financial officer. Bui, who currently serves as CFO of Transat AT, will assume the new role on December 18, 2023. Prior to his current position, Bui has held positions as an investment banker and adviser at RBC Capital Markets and Morgan Stanley, as well as CFO at renewable-energy producer Kruger Energy. He will be replacing J.P. Towner, who has been Dollarama’s CFO since March 2021.
Dollarama recently reported a strong quarter in September and raised its annual expectations, benefiting from robust demand for affordable products amidst rising prices of essential items in Canada. With the appointment of Patrick Bui as CFO, the company aims to continue its positive financial trajectory and capitalize on its success in the discount retail industry.
Bui’s extensive experience in finance and his previous roles in the investment banking sector make him a valuable addition to Dollarama’s leadership team. His appointment demonstrates the company’s commitment to strategic financial management and further growth in the Canadian retail market.
