Navarro College Trustees recently recognized the achievements of the college’s marketing and finance teams. The Vice President of Finance, Theresa Thomas, and her team were honored for receiving a Certificate of Achievement from the Government Finance Officers Association, marking the twenty-first consecutive year of financial reporting excellence. Meanwhile, the Executive Director of Marketing and Public Relations, Stacie Sipes, and her team earned several awards at a Marketing Conference in Colorado Springs. These accolades included recognition for website and graphic design, as well as radio advertisement awards that showcased Navarro College students and programs.
Sipes attributed the team’s success to the support and contributions of the college’s students, administration, and staff. The Marketing and Public Relations team plays a crucial role in ensuring the stories of Navarro College, its students, and its staff are effectively communicated. With a website now boasting 1,600 pages of content, the team highlights the ongoing work and achievements of Navarro College.
In addition to the awards, the Trustees also approved routine enrollment and personnel reports and received financial updates. The meeting ended with the approval of the consent agenda, and the Trustees will reconvene on November 30 at the Waxahachie Campus for their next meeting.
