The disagreement highlights tensions between the two Republican presidential hopefuls.

In a potentially related development, Rep. Dean Phillips is said to be laying the groundwork for a possible primary challenge to President Joe Biden. While preparations for a presidential announcement are being made, Phillips has not yet made a final decision. Phillips confirmed that he had a conversation with New Hampshire Democratic leadership as he contemplates running. The deadline to file for the New Hampshire primary is on October 27, and ABC News has reached out to obtain the necessary permits.

Meanwhile, Senator Tim Scott has criticized progressive House members, known as “the Squad,” for their remarks regarding Israel. Scott called on President Biden to denounce the Squad’s rhetoric, stating that Biden is incapable of telling the truth on this issue due to his allegiance to the Squad and their propaganda machine. Scott urged Democrats in Congress to hold the Squad accountable, expressing skepticism that they would do so.
