Walmart Settles Opioid Claims with Shareholders

Walmart has reached a proposed settlement agreement regarding its distribution of prescribed opioids, according to filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Friday. This settlement encompasses three distinct shareholder lawsuits, each claiming that Walmart failed to adequately oversee the distribution and dispensing of prescription opioids in compliance with the Controlled Substances Act. The agreement is still subject to further conditions.
