YouTube’s support team is currently facing an outage. The widespread power outages in Spain and Portugal have impacted some of YouTube’s customer support team members, particularly those providing assistance in related European languages.
The company has not disclosed the number of employees affected or the number of support cases delayed due to these outages.
These power outages in Europe are causing significant disruptions, impacting traffic, public transportation, flights, trains, healthcare, schools, banking, phone service, and various industries.
In a post on X, YouTube stated that it is working to support its teams in the affected region and will resume addressing any disrupted support cases as soon as possible. However, Spain’s power grid operator has indicated that restoring service could take up to 10 hours.
