The Samsung Galaxy S24 is rumored to have some new features that are similar to those found in the iPhone 15. One of these features is a titanium frame, which is lighter than the stainless steel frame used in previous iPhone models. The iPhone 15 reduced the weight by 19 grams with its titanium frame, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to have a similar weight reduction with its titanium frame. However, there have been concerns about the durability of the titanium material, as drop tests have shown it may not be as sturdy as Apple claims.
Another feature that the Galaxy S24 may have is satellite connectivity. While the Galaxy S23 was rumored to have this feature but did not end up having it, there are indications that the S24 will finally incorporate satellite connectivity. The South Korean minister of science and ICT has stated that local smartphone brands will launch a service that enables data transmission between 5G phones and satellites in 2024, suggesting that Samsung may introduce this feature in the S24 line.
In terms of graphics capabilities, the Galaxy S24 may surpass the iPhone 15. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset expected to be used in the Galaxy S24 is said to have a 50% faster GPU than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip used in the Galaxy S23. This means that the Galaxy S24 may outperform the iPhone 15 in terms of gaming capabilities. Samsung may follow Apple’s lead by showcasing the Galaxy S24’s graphics prowess and emphasizing its mobile gaming capabilities.
