On Monday morning, Manus AI, a rapidly gaining AI agent platform based in China, introduced two subscription plans starting at $39 per month. Currently in its beta phase, Manus is an AI-powered tool designed to perform tasks such as creating web pages for wedding invitations or crafting scoring sheets for baseball games. However, evaluations have indicated that the platform does not fully meet some of its ambitious marketing claims.
The first of Manus’ new premium plans is priced at $39 per month, offering users 3,900 credits and the capability to run two tasks simultaneously. The second, higher-tier plan costs $199 per month and provides 19,900 credits, the ability to execute five tasks simultaneously, and priority access during peak times.
Subscribers to Manus’ premium plans have the option to purchase additional credits through top-up packs, though the specific pricing details for these extra credits are not immediately available.
In a statement on X, Manus acknowledged the ongoing development phase, stating, “While we’re working hard around the clock to scale our infrastructure and accommodate everyone, we’ve had to temporarily limit access to Manus during this development phase. We are also working on optimizing our current usage rates to provide better value for our users.”
Additionally, Manus has released an iOS app and upgraded the AI model that powers its backend to Anthropic’s Claude 3.7 Sonnet, as part of the platform’s enhancements made today.
