Netflix’s The Electric State Unveils Big, Goofy Bots in Debut Trailer

The Netflix adaptation of the upcoming project is directed by filmmakers Anthony and Joe Russo, known for their work on the Avengers series. The streaming platform has described the setting as an "alternate, retro-futuristic version of the 1990s," focusing on a society where sentient robots that resemble cartoons and mascots, formerly living alongside humans peacefully, are now in exile following a failed uprising.

The project includes a notable cast featuring Millie Bobby Brown, Chris Pratt, Ke Huy Quan, Jason Alexander, Woody Norman, Giancarlo Esposito, and Stanley Tucci. Additionally, voice contributions come from Woody Harrelson, Anthony Mackie, Brian Cox, Jenny Slate, Hank Azaria, Colman Domingo, and Alan Tudyk.

The Electric State is scheduled to be released on Netflix on March 14th, 2025.
