This statement was made during the iCET industry roundtable, where Doval and his American counterpart Jake Sullivan discussed collaboration in areas such as artificial intelligence, semiconductor, critical minerals, advanced telecommunication, and defense space. The iCET initiative, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Joe Biden, aims to strengthen cooperation between the two nations in critical technologies.

During the roundtable, Doval commended the progress of iCET and emphasized the crucial role of the semiconductor industry in technology development. Meanwhile, Sullivan highlighted the need for innovation, production, and deployment in technology partnerships between India and the US. The officials assured the industry of their support in addressing specific issues to deepen India-US ties, welcoming collaboration and promising to resolve any barriers hindering closer cooperation.
