“Saturday Night Live” continued its penchant for creating highly specific game show parodies with a new sketch titled “So Like…What Are We?” This sketch featured host Mikey Madison taking center stage.
In the sketch, Madison takes on the role of Molly Wilson, a woman attempting to clarify the status of her relationship on national television. Her counterpart in this endeavor is Jeremy, portrayed by Michael Longfellow. Jeremy is introduced as someone recently out of a long-term relationship and clearly not interested in pursuing anything serious at the moment.
In response to Jeremy’s reluctance for commitment, Madison’s character humorously remarks, “Oh, that’s the wrong answer,” and imposes a fictional penalty of ten thousand dollars deducted from his personal bank account.
The sketch also explores various red flags in their relationship dynamics, highlighted through interactions such as a series of late-night text messages inviting a “link up” and referencing that “daddy is hungry for butt.”
The segment humorously suggests that remaining single might not be an entirely unfavorable option.
