The PC port will encompass the base game and all subsequent DLC content, such as the New Game Plus mode and additional spider suits. It will also feature PC-specific enhancements like keyboard and mouse controls, ultra-widescreen support, and a variety of graphical options, including advanced ray-tracing capabilities. This information was provided by Mike Fitzgerald, Core Technology Director at developer Insomniac.
In addition to this announcement, Sony disclosed that there are no plans for additional story content for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on any platform.
Spider-Man 2 represents a significant part of Sony’s broader initiative to expand into the PC gaming market. This effort also includes the introduction of a PC overlay, which was launched in June alongside the PC port of Ghost of Tsushima. Notably, Spider-Man 2 is the quickest major PS5 game to receive a PC port, arriving less than two years following its initial release.
