Track Shared Videos with Instagram’s New ‘Social Library’ Feature

Instagram may be developing a new feature known as the “Social Library” within its application, as indicated by a screenshot shared by developer and leaker Alessandro Paluzzi. This feature would provide users with easy access to content shared in chat threads, their collections, and posts they have liked.

Based on Paluzzi’s screenshot, the Social Library section would likely encompass posts, Reels, and other forms of media that users have shared or received in chat threads, in addition to content they have liked or saved. A magnifying glass icon visible in the corner of the screenshot suggests that this content could be searchable, potentially allowing users to quickly locate specific Reels or posts.

The launch date for this feature remains uncertain, and Meta has not yet responded to requests for comment on the matter. Additionally, Paluzzi has recently observed indications that Instagram might introduce a feature allowing users to share their Instagram comments as posts on Threads.
