Canon U.S.A. has announced a new partnership with the Ryan Seacrest Foundation to provide digital equipment to Seacrest Studios at 14 pediatric hospitals, including one on Long Island. The foundation aims to inspire young people through entertainment and education-focused initiatives, with Seacrest Studios offering pediatric patients the chance to explore creativity through radio, television, and new media. Canon will be providing equipment such as lenses, cameras, and printers to support the foundation’s mission of bringing an uplifting spirit to the hospital community.
Canon U.S.A. President and CEO Isao “Sammy” Kobayashi expressed the company’s honor in partnering with the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, highlighting the opportunity to provide hands-on experiences with Canon equipment to children in order to lift their spirits. The foundation’s executive director, Meredith Seacrest Leach, expressed gratitude for Canon’s generous donation of state-of-the-art equipment, which will enhance the studios’ ability to capture high-quality content and help patients, interns, and studio staff gain skills using premier technology. Last year, the foundation opened three new studios, including one at the Cohen Children’s Medical Center on the Long Island-Queens border, with Canon representatives attending the grand opening.
Through the new partnership, Canon will provide equipment like Canon EOS R Full-Frame Mirrorless Cameras and high-end Canon RF L-Series Lenses to support the creative abilities of patients and produce content for the Seacrest Studios network. The company will also offer desktop printers, wireless compact photo printers, and other accessories to aid in content creation. In addition to supporting future studio openings, Canon will provide updated equipment for current studios, further enhancing the foundation’s efforts to inspire and uplift young patients through entertainment and creativity.
