Investment firm Fenimore Asset Management has announced the promotion of Anne Putnam to the position of CEO, effective from October 1. Founded by her father in 1974, Fenimore is approaching its 50th year of service. Putnam joined the firm in 2006 and has been serving as senior vice president since 2017. In her new role, she aims to guide the firm to new levels of investor satisfaction and growth. With over $4.27 billion in assets under management as of June 30, Fenimore Asset Management is an independent investment manager operating from its Albany and Cobleskill offices.
Anne Putnam emphasized the importance of Fenimore’s values and its commitment to investing in the community. She expressed her goal to maintain the firm’s regional presence, expand within the Capital Region, and continue offering investment strategies nationally. Putnam highlighted that the same culture and ethos that has guided the firm for the past five decades will direct its future growth.
In a separate event, AAA Northeast will be organizing a free car care clinic in Oneonta. The clinic, taking place on October 6, will provide drivers with a complimentary multi-point inspection of their vehicles, including tire pressures, fluids, and battery tests. Technicians will also offer a CarFit event to help drivers find their ideal person-to-vehicle fit, with a focus on the comfort, safety, and control of driving. The event is open to the public, and appointments can be made for the CarFit session by calling the provided number.
